I’m Miki
When I started doing theatre I was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. I was 7 years old and playing Little Orphan Annie at my community theatre in KY. Despite the red curly wig they shoved on top of my cornrows and the 17-year-old girl playing Sandy… It was incredible, I promise you.
I have been doing this theatre thing non-stop for 24 years. I've done cruise ships, reality tv, Amish theatre, theme parks, children’s theatre, national tours, Broadway…you name it, I’ve done it. I LIVE FOR THIS SHIT.
I often find myself living in a delicate balance of loving theatre and everything that goes into it, and despising it because I can’t help but be painfully aware of the struggle, trauma, and pain that goes along with this career choice.
In 2018 I experienced some incredibly violent body-shaming working on my first cruise contract. I remember how stunned I was, stunned and terrified that this was going to be my life and that I would just have to deal with it.
I decided I was going to help myself by learning how to help others.
In July of the same year, I became an ICF-certified Self-Esteem Coach.
My goal in life is to make sure that every single artist knows their full potential. I need for every artist that I come into contact with to know how amazing, incredible, and useful they are.
I will teach you how to stand up for yourself, love yourself, and know what is for you and what is not for you.
I have this crazy notion that, as artists, we are allowed to choose what we create and how we create it.
